blue screen of death

The other day I was walking through Westfield Chatswood, and came across this plasma display showing a classic Windows blue screen of death. I have seen many of these but by far the funniest blue screen of death I have seen is the condom vending machine in the mens toilets at Hoyts cinemas on George street in Sydney.

Here is a photo of Sydney Luna Park and the Milson’s point swimming pool taken from the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the night of August 31st, 2005 while cycling home. If you download the photo and open it up in iPhoto or Preview an look at its info you will see my precise location at the time the photo was taken.

I finally got around to experimenting with embedding GPS data into photographs from my digital camera. Using a Magellan SporTrak Pro
GPS, a Sony DSC-V1 digital camera and GPS Photo Linker software I was able to embed GPS positional data into my photos. The process involves synchronising the clocks on the GPS and camera and then simply having the GPS on while taking pictures. GS Photo Linker then downloads the track from your GPS and calculates the location at which each photo was taken.
